Find a Mentor to Be a Mentor

My mentor in business taught me that in order to be a mentor, one should have a mentor. So in studying Instructional Design, I need to reach out for mentors.

Sally Bacchetta is an Instructional Designer (ID) I found who's blog I decided to follow. Her writing is straight-forward, sharing ID concepts clearly and boldly. It turns out she is a fellow student who has previously taken the same course I am currently in: EDUC-6115-1, Learning Theories Instruction at Walden University. Her blog, Instructional Design Hub, is an ID student's perspective on the craft.

Dennis T OConnor is another mentor I have chosen to follow. His E-Learning and Online Teaching Today blog has up-to-date information on the fast changing world of these integrated parts of learning technology. He tackles today's hurdles head-on, such as Cracking the Biggest Barrier in Online Education: Motivation.

Richard Culatta's website, Instructional Design has an in-depth coverage of Instructional Design. I intend to use this resource to obtain a sense of the big picture.
